Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Litigation Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess robust analytical skills, excellent research abilities, and a thorough understanding of civil law procedures. This role involves representing clients in civil disputes, preparing legal documents, and negotiating settlements. The Civil Litigation Lawyer will play a vital role in advocating for clients' rights and ensuring effective resolution of cases through strategic litigation and negotiation.

Duties
Manage and oversee civil litigation cases from inception to resolution, including filing pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
Develop case strategies by analyzing facts, evidence, and applicable laws to achieve favorable outcomes.
Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and provide sound legal advice throughout the litigation process.
Negotiate settlements effectively while maintaining professional integrity and client interests.
Stay updated on changes in civil law statutes and precedents that may impact ongoing cases.

Qualifications




Minimum 3–5 years of civil litigation experience
Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
Experience appearing before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice
Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational and client management skills
Proven experience in civil litigation, with a strong track record of managing complex cases.
Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate favourable settlements.
Proven ability to carry files independently with minimal supervision
Robust research capabilities combined with exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents.
Ability to analyze case facts critically and develop effective legal strategies.
Outstanding communication skills for client interaction and courtroom advocacy.
Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
