Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming kitchen environment. The Kitchen Assistant will play a vital part in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and assisting with food preparation and cleanliness.
Duties
Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
Support the storage of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper labeling and organization
Help with dishwashing and sanitation procedures to ensure a hygienic setting
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Assist with waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently
Support the culinary team during meal service by providing necessary assistance as directed
Skills
Strong attention to cleanliness and detail in maintaining hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions precisely
Basic knowledge of food safety regulations is a plus but not required; training will be provided
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the kitchen setting
