Job Summary

Join our energetic team as a Transload Worker where you'll play a vital role in efficiently transferring Feed Ingredients and Seeds between different modes of transportation, such as trucks and railcars. This energetic position offers an opportunity to work in a quick-paced environment, ensuring the smooth movement of goods while maintaining safety and accuracy. Your mechanical knowledge and proactive approach will help keep operations running seamlessly, contributing to the overall success of our logistics process.

Responsibilities
Safely load and unload commodities from trucks and Railcars with appropriate equipment and techniques
Inspect railcars and trucks for cleanliness and discrepancies and report issues promptly to supervisors
Operate basic mechanical tools and equipment to assist with bulk commodity handling.
Ensure all shipments are properly documented and labeled according to company procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Collaborate with team members to coordinate transloading activities and meet operational deadlines
Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)




Work is dependent on weather and Railroad schedules. Plan on working Monday-Friday with some Saturdays as well.

Skills
Robust mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment and assist with loading/unloading processes
Ability to operate tractors or Loaders or other material handling machinery (certification preferred)
Excellent attention to detail for inspecting cargo and completing documentation accurately
Must be available to work on weekends if needed.
Physical stamina to stand, lift, bend, and move throughout shifts in a fast-paced environment
Explicit communication skills for effective teamwork and safety reporting
Proactive attitude with a focus on safety compliance and operational efficiency
Looking for an individual that has the drive and motivation to move into a Manager Position
