Support school facility cleanliness and minor building maintenance with School District No. 60 as a casual Custodian working on an as-needed basis.

This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, cooperates with site Administrative Officers, and is overseen by the Head Custodian. You will organize daily priorities, accommodate evening user groups, and maintain school buildings. The work includes cleaning, seasonal preparation, equipment care, and secure handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete seasonal floor stripping, scrubbing, and waxing
- Wash walls, desks, furniture, and related surfaces
- Operate equipment and hand tools according to standards
- Handle hazardous materials safely under WHMIS requirements
- Report vandalized equipment or property to supervisors

Requirements:

- Ability to work independently and set priorities
- Strong organization and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with the public and as part of a team
- Valid Class 5 licence and reliable vehicle may be required
- Pass District Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Search
