This Cook prepares meals and nourishments for residents, guests, and employees under dietary department leadership. Responsibilities include reviewing menus, meeting service schedules, recording temperature audits, and making approved substitutions. The position also supports special occasion meals, quality improvement, staff training, and compliance with regulations. Experience in healthcare or retirement settings is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare meals according to menus and daily production sheets
- Meet scheduled times for meals and nourishments
- Record refrigerator, freezer,



and storeroom temperature findings
- Make menu substitutions and record designated changes
- Participate in special occasion and theme meal planning

Requirements:

- Food Handler's Certificate required
- Red Seal Certificate preferred
- Healthcare or retirement cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of Provincial Food Premises Regulation
- Ability to stand for most of the shift
