Duties:
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial buildings
Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems
Assemble and install pipes and fittings using various tools and techniques
Perform pipe threading and cutting as necessary
Troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide effective solutions
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as HVAC technicians and carpenters, to complete projects
Conduct inspections to identify potential problems or areas for improvement
Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
Assist with remodeling projects as needed
Skills:
Proficient in basic math calculations for measuring and cutting pipes
Knowledge of HVAC systems and how they interact with plumbing systems
Familiarity with carpentry techniques for framing and installing fixtures
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
Mechanical knowledge to understand the workings of plumbing systems
Solid problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues effectively
Experience with assembling and disassembling plumbing components
Proficient in pipe threading techniques
Maintenance Person skills for general repairs and maintenance
