Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our dedicated team. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a rapid-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism as they arrive at the clinic.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date in the system.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
Assist veterinarians and technicians with animal handling during appointments, sample collection & procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinic.
Skills
Robust interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for animal care and welfare.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling, accurate record keeping and billing purposes.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented workplace while managing individual responsibilities.
Experience or familiarity with laboratory processes is a plus but not required.
Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks performed.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally, especially when dealing with distressed pet owners.
