Carpenter Helper / Shop Assistant

Overview

We are looking for a reliable Carpenter Helper / Shop Assistant to support our cabinet shop. Work includes preparing materials, assembling cabinets, assisting with installations, and keeping the shop clean and organized. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys practical work and is willing to learn.

Duties
Assist with cabinet assembly, preparation, and installation.
Measure, cut, sand, and assemble materials as directed.
Help with general carpentry and renovation tasks.
Use hand tools and power tools safely.
Load, unload, and move cabinets, materials, and supplies.
Clean the shop, tools, equipment, and work areas regularly.
Organize tools, hardware, materials, and supplies.
Remove waste and keep walkways and work surfaces explicit.




Follow instructions and shop and job-site safety procedures.

Required Skills
Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
Ability to lift and carry cabinets and materials safely.
Reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Commitment to keeping a clean, organized workspace.

Preferred Experience

Experience with cabinet assembly, woodworking, cabinet installation, or general carpentry is an asset, but not required.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
