About the role

TELUS Cyber Security is hiring a Senior Consultant for its Security Professional Services team. The role supports client penetration-testing and security-assessment engagements in a mobile/work from home setting.

Responsibilities
Perform infrastructure and web application security assessments, including automated and manual testing.
Use offensive security tools to identify vulnerabilities and assess systems.
Analyze findings and recommend remediation.
Prepare client reports and presentations, explaining technical findings to non-specialized audiences.
Support client projects and mandates across different sectors and organization types.

Qualifications
At least five years of experience in penetration testing, development, and/or technical support in cybersecurity.
Practical experience with web application security,



infrastructure testing, vulnerability assessment, and offensive security tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, Nmap, SQLMap, and OWASP ZAP.
Knowledge of Linux and Windows, programming or scripting languages, current application vulnerabilities, and penetration-testing methodologies.
Robust written and oral communication skills and report-writing ability.
Advanced English is required for the role's interactions and national scope.

Cloud security, IoT security, social engineering, wireless testing, GRC, skilled certifications, and French-English bilingualism are considered assets. The successful candidate must undergo a security check and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
