My brother and I work full time, and we are seeking a caregiver to help care for our children, who are 5 & 6 years old.

Title of Position: Caregiver Provider – Private Home

Type of Position: Permanent, full-time

Job Duties:
Tend to the emotional well-being of our children
Supervise and care for our children
Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Organize activities such as games and outings for our children
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
Take our children to and from school and to appointments when necessary
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
Prepare our children for rest periods
Bathe, dress and feed our children
Discipline our children according to the methods requested by us, the parents
Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties for our children




Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children

Skills Required:
Minimum 1 Year paid full time work experience as a caregiver within the last 3 years
Must have positive and verifiable references for childcare
Completion of High School, minimum 12 years of total education or equivalent
A 6-month in-class caregiver training course is considered an asset
Good interpersonal and communication skills in English

Work Setting:

Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. NOTE: This is NOT a condition of employment.

Wage and Number of Hours per week: $20.00 per hour, 35 hours per week plus overtime, when necessary, two days off per week (Saturday & Sunday)
