About the Role

Our client, a fast-growing fintech startup, is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Blockchain Developer to join their agile team in Kimberley . You will work under the guidance of senior developers, gaining hands-on experience in developing, testing, and deploying smart contracts and decentralized applications. We are looking for a candidate with a foundational understanding of blockchain principles and a strong desire to grow within the crypto and blockchain space. The role utilizes a hybrid work model, blending in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development and testing of smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps).
Write clean, well-documented code under the supervision of senior developers.
Participate in code reviews and learn best practices.
Help troubleshoot and resolve issues in development and testing environments.
Research new blockchain technologies and tools.
Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements.
Contribute to maintaining the codebase and improving its quality.




Learn and apply security best practices in development.
Assist in deploying smart contracts to various networks.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Foundational knowledge of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and smart contracts.
Basic programming skills in languages like Solidity, JavaScript, or Python.
Familiarity with development tools such as Remix, Truffle, or Hardhat is a plus.
Strong desire to learn and develop skills in blockchain development.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Kimberley .
