Work with the Mother Baby Unit at Humber River Health, providing counseling, family advocacy, and psychosocial care part-time.

Located at the Wilson Site, this Social Worker reports to the Manager, Mother Baby Unit and supports patients, families, and healthcare teams. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, family meetings, discharge planning, and education for current staff. The schedule requires Wednesdays and every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

- Interview and counsel patients regarding psychosocial needs
- Facilitate family meetings and support shared care planning
- Act as patient and family advocate
- Provide psychosocial resources to other team members
- Educate new staff about child welfare and perinatal loss

Requirements:

- Master’s degree in Social Work or equivalent required
- OASW and OCSWSSW membership or eligibility required
- Recent experience with obstetrical and paediatric patients
- Knowledge of child protection and perinatal loss issues
- Ability to work independently and within healthcare teams
