Start in Marketing Accounting with PETRONAS Canada in Calgary, applying Excel and accounting skills to natural gas transactions. This is a 12-month temporary position.
As a recent university graduate, you will support accurate, timely accounting and financial reporting for natural gas and natural gas liquids marketing activities. You will work with Marketing, Production Accounting, Financial Reporting, Risk, and other business partners. The position provides hands-on experience in an energy workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Support accruals, invoicing, settlements, and accounting entries
Assist reconciliations and investigate reporting variances
Validate transaction data for accurate financial reporting
Prepare commodity results and variance analysis
Prepare journal entries and reports using SAP and Excel
Requirements:
Recent Bachelor's graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline
Solid Microsoft Excel skills
Basic accounting, journal entry, accrual, and reconciliation knowledge
Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Build energy accounting experience through reconciliations, reporting, journal entries, and Excel at PETRONAS Canada in Calgary.
