We fabricate, sell, and install glass, and we’re looking for an organized, customer-focused person to help run the day-to-day operations of our shop. This is a hands-on role with a mix of customer sales, order coordination, employee supervision, and production scheduling. You’ll help keep work moving from the initial customer inquiry through fabrication and installation, making sure details are accurate, deadlines are followed, and customers stay informed. Glass industry experience is not required. We’re willing to train someone with strong organizational skills, positive judgment, and a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable taking responsibility, directing day-to-day work, and following through without needing constant reminders. What you’ll do
- Help customers with inquiries, purchases, and order updates in person, by phone, and by email.
- Coordinate orders from initial inquiry through fabrication and installation.
- Monitor the production schedule, check progress, and follow up to keep jobs on time.
- Assign daily work and communicate priorities to shop and installation staff.
- Check that job details, measurements, materials, and customer requirements are documented before work proceeds.
- Coordinate installation schedules with customers and the team.
- Identify delays, missing information,



or other issues early and help resolve them.
- Keep emails, order records, and outstanding tasks organized.
- Work closely with the owner to keep daily operations running smoothly and improve how work gets done. What we’re looking for
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several jobs and deadlines at once.
- Clear, professional communication and a helpful approach with customers.
- Confidence giving direction, following up with employees, and holding people accountable respectfully.
- Attention to detail and a habit of checking information before acting.
- Initiative: you notice what needs attention and take the next step.
- Comfort using email, computers, and learning order-management software.
- A willingness to learn glass products, fabrication processes, and installation requirements. Experience coordinating staff, customers, orders, or schedules in a shop, warehouse, trades, manufacturing, retail, or service business is an asset. Direct glass experience is welcome, but not essential.
