About Sun Glow Sun Glow is a Canadian manufacturer of custom window covering systems, specializing in roller shades, solar shades, blackout systems, and motorized window treatments. Based in Toronto, we manufacture solutions for residential, commercial, institutional, and multi-residential projects. We work with architects, interior designers, contractors, developers, and window covering professionals to deliver functional, design-focused shading solutions. We are expanding our presence in the Architecture & Design (A&D;) community and are looking for an experienced, relationship-driven sales professional to help establish Sun Glow as a preferred manufacturer for architectural specifications.

About the Role
We are looking for an A&D; Specification Sales Representative to develop relationships with architectural firms, interior designers, specification writers, and other design professionals throughout Ontario. Your primary responsibility will be to introduce Sun Glow's products to the design community, generate specifications, and position our shading solutions for inclusion in upcoming projects. This is a business development and specification-focused role, not a retail sales position. You will have the opportunity to develop an emerging sales channel, build long-term industry relationships, and directly influence our growth in the commercial and architectural markets.

Key Responsibilities
Architectural & Design Business Development
- Identify and develop relationships with architectural firms, interior design studios, specification writers, and design consultants.
- Proactively schedule meetings, product presentations, and lunch-and-learn sessions with A&D; professionals.
- Establish Sun Glow as a trusted resource for architectural window shading solutions.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of architectural and commercial projects at various stages of design and construction.
- Expand our presence with both established design firms and emerging practices. Specification Development
- Work with architects and designers to have Sun Glow products specified in commercial,



institutional, hospitality, and multi-residential projects.
- Position Sun Glow products as the basis of design or an approved manufacturer in project specifications.
- Assist design professionals in selecting appropriate shading systems based on aesthetics, functionality, performance, and technical requirements.
- Provide product samples, technical documentation, specifications, and other materials required during the design process.
- Track specifications and follow projects from initial design through tendering and procurement. Product Presentations & Education
- Conduct in-person and virtual product presentations for architects and interior designers.
- Organize lunch-and-learns, showroom visits, and educational sessions.
- Educate designers on solar control, glare reduction, privacy, blackout applications, automation, and shading system integration.
- Represent Sun Glow at relevant industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities. Sales & Project Coordination
- Collaborate with our internal sales, estimating, and technical teams to support specified projects.
- Maintain accurate records of firm relationships, project opportunities, specifications, and follow-up activities using our CRM.
- Monitor projects through the design and construction process to help convert specifications into sales.
- Gather market feedback and identify opportunities to improve our products, specification resources, and services. Qualifications Required
- Minimum 3 years of business development, specification sales, or architectural sales experience.
- Experience working directly with architects, interior designers, or commercial design professionals.




- Understanding of how building products are selected, specified, and incorporated into construction projects.
- Strong presentation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to independently prospect, develop new relationships, and manage a sales territory.
- Comfortable presenting technical products and discussing design applications.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory. Preferred
- Existing relationships within the Ontario architecture and interior design community.
- Experience selling or specifying window coverings, architectural products, interior finishes, flooring, wallcoverings, lighting, building materials, or related products.
- Familiarity with architectural specifications, Division 12, construction drawings, and commercial bidding processes.
- Experience delivering educational presentations and lunch-and-learn sessions to design firms.
- Understanding of commercial and multi-residential construction project lifecycles. Direct experience in window coverings is an asset but is not required. We are particularly interested in candidates with established A&D; relationships and a demonstrated ability to influence product specifications.
