We’re seeking someone to join our team as an AI Platform & Engineering Lead in IST Operational Management to handle divisional GenAI use cases, including business use case enablement, modernization, cyber, and at-scale initiatives, along with building up a small team locally. This is a high-visibility, hands‑on role that combines deep technical ownership with the ability to think and operate at scale, while serving as the primary technical partner on one or more initiatives. In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Principal Data & Analytics Engineering position at Vice-President level, which is part of the job family responsible for providing specialist data analysis and expertise that drive decision‑making and business insights as well as crafting data pipelines, implementing data models, and optimizing data processes for improved data accuracy and accessibility, including applying machine learning and AI‑based techniques.

What you'll do in the role:

- Recruit, lead and mentor developers, setting technical direction, engineering standards, and a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- Partner with the Institutional Securities Group business and technology teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver high‑value GenAI use cases.
- Drive the industrialization of AI solutions, moving use cases from proof‑of‑concept to production‑ready platforms with scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
- Design and implement reusable architectures, engineering patterns, and integration frameworks leveraging LLMs, agent frameworks, orchestration tools, and AI platforms.
- Integrate GenAI capabilities into enterprise applications and internal platforms while contributing reusable components to shared AI/ML ecosystems.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, reliability, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements through robust controls, monitoring, validation, and auditability.
- Define KPIs and measure business outcomes, communicating progress, impact, and value realization to senior stakeholders.
- Enable engineering teams through training, best practices, and AI‑assisted development guidelines to accelerate adoption of modern engineering practices.

What you'll bring to the role:

- At least 10 years of experience in a software development role.
- Proven technical leadership in architecture, engineering standards, mentoring, and delivery.
- Hands‑on experience delivering real production systems.
- Ability to communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders and balance urgency, resilience, and maintainability.
- Experience using AI‑assisted development tools (ex. Claude, Microsoft Copilot, AMP) with appropriate validation, security,

and controls.
- Understanding of AI governance and regulatory expectations.
- Exposure to data engineering pipelines.

All our positions are located in Montreal, Quebec.

We offer a hybrid work environment, combining remote work and attendance in the office.
