Support surgical patients through clinical assessment and evidence-informed nursing care with Fraser Health’s Operating Room team in Chilliwack, B.C.

As a Relief Full time Registered Nurse, you will coordinate care according to orders, standards, and hospital policies. The position requires patient advocacy, emergency response, acuity recognition, effective communication, and collaboration with the interprofessional care team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect patient information through observation and physical assessment
- Coordinate nursing care according to physician and anaesthetist orders
- Modify care as patient needs and acuity change
- Apply monitoring devices and initiate immediate treatment when required
- Participate in quality improvement, research, and education activities

Requirements:

- Approved School of Nursing graduation
- Current Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM
- One year of recent relevant clinical nursing experience
- Applicable postgraduate coursework or clinical certification
- Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, and care teams

Use assessment, communication, advocacy, and clinical reasoning to provide coordinated nursing care within Fraser Health’s Operating Room.
