Our client, a leading organisation in the utilities sector, is seeking a Project Engineer for a contract opportunity. Reporting to the Team Lead, Project Engineering, the role will provide technical leadership and oversee engineering deliverables from feasibility and conceptual design through to project execution and closeout. Projects will cover distribution, substations, transmission and network infrastructure.Key Responsibilities: Work with internal and external customers and technical specialists to define project scopes, technical deliverables, interdependencies and risksPlan and produce detailed designs for recent construction, additions, modifications, maintenance and changes to distribution and transmission infrastructurePrepare feasibility assessments, design scopes of work, calculations, technical analyses, design reviews and construction support documentationEstablish engineering schedules, inspection and test plans, and coordinate inspection points during constructionAct as the main engineering contact for external consultants, overseeing the scope, quality and timely delivery of their workCoordinate design reviews between consultants,



engineering teams and field execution planning teamsReview construction requests for information and provide responses through Field Instructions or direct on-site supportEnsure technical closeout, record documentation and project information management requirements are completed effectivelyJob Requirements: Experience in project engineering within the utilities, electrical infrastructure or energy sectorStrong understanding of distribution, substation, transmission or network projectsKnowledge of engineering design, calculations, analysis and technical documentationUnderstanding of applicable engineering standards, industry codes, regulations and public safety requirementsExperience coordinating consultants, contractors, design reviews and construction support activitiesAbility to identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, scope changes and project challengesStrong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skillsCommitment to maintaining the safety of colleagues, contractors and the publicContract Opportunity:This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to a varied portfolio of utility infrastructure projects while working closely with project managers, estimators, engineering consultants and field execution teams.#J-18808-Ljbffr
