Altec seeks an experienced mechanic with a solid mechanical background and equipment service experience. The work includes replacing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components while using technical support resources. Candidates may bring experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, construction equipment, or similar machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
Use manuals and technical resources to troubleshoot repairs
Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports
Maintain a secure, clean, orderly work area
Provide accurate information on required documents
Requirements:
High School Diploma, equivalency, or GED
Red Seal designation
Experience with equipment mechanics or service
Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
Ability to move tools and objects up to 75 pounds
Apply mechanical troubleshooting, schematic reading, and component replacement expertise while supporting Altec equipment and customer relationships across Canada.
