Maintain hospital cleanliness at IWK Health in Halifax through cleaning, floorcare, and waste removal across variable shifts. Support patients, families, and staff.

As an Environmental Services Worker, you will maintain cleanliness throughout all hospital locations. Your work includes mopping, dusting, floorcare, carpet and chair shampooing, waste removal, and spill cleanup. You will also support laundry tasks, room setups, window cleaning, isolation room cleaning, and IWK Health’s greener environmental strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
Clean, mop, and dust hospital areas
Scrub and wax floors throughout hospital locations
Remove hazardous and regular waste safely
Clean chemical, floor, and blood spills
Complete laundry tasks and room setups

Requirements:
Minimum grade 12 or GED
Previous healthcare setting experience considered an asset
Organize and prioritize unit functions safely
Communicate effectively and build relationships
Work independently with minimal supervision
