Teach drama and theatre to children ages 6-16 through StoryBook Theatre’s summer camps in Calgary, using solid instructional skills. Choose Calgary North or Calgary South locations.

StoryBook Theatre seeks Summer Theatre School Teachers for one-week summer camp classes. Instructors teach improvisation, audition techniques, storytelling, voice, choreography, and other theatre skills. They lead actors through the creation process, direct final presentations, collaborate with teaching assistants, and report to the Theatre School Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach drama and theatre skills to children ages 6-16
- Lead students through each week’s creation process
- Direct actors in final weekly presentations
- Work closely with teaching assistants




- Report directly to the Theatre School Administrator

Requirements:

- Minimum two years of university education in Drama or Education
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and personal organization
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Criminal background check required; technical theatre knowledge and Basic First Aid are assets
