Support children’s safety and learning at CDI’s Wellesley Early Learning Centre in a permanent full-time, on-site daytime position. Assist the RECE with daily programming.

The Child Development Institute seeks one Early Childhood Assistant for its Early Years Childcare Services team. Working Monday through Friday for 35 hours weekly, you will help implement age-group programming and maintain a safe, nurturing environment. The position includes child supervision, observations, family relationships, routines, documentation, and classroom organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise children in a safe, healthy setting
- Assist the RECE with preparing program activities
- Track attendance and conduct transition headcounts




- Record observations supporting developmental needs
- Maintain routines, documentation, and classroom organization

Requirements:

- Early Childhood Assistant certificate, equivalent experience, or ECE enrollment
- Standard First Aid certificate and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Clean medical check, credential verifications, and references
- Positive relationships with families, peers, and guests
- Ability to work respectfully with diverse groups

Bring child supervision, program support, and observation skills to CDI’s Wellesley Early Learning Centre each weekday.
