Support patient care as a Health Care Aide at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, using basic nursing care and mobilization techniques in person.

Working under a Registered Nurse’s direction, you will assist the interdisciplinary health care team in 2W Respiratory Chronic Care. This clinical position provides delegated patient or resident care and basic supportive services. Knowledge of chronic care, communication methods, and workplace safety requirements supports effective daily practice.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with patient and resident care as delegated
Provide basic supportive services under Registered Nurse direction
Apply lifting, transferring, and mobilization techniques appropriately
Follow regional, site, and work area policies




Maintain confidentiality and positive interpersonal relationships

Requirements:
Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized institution
Grade X education
One year chronic, long-term, or rehabilitative care preferred
Knowledge of basic nursing care principles and procedures
Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow directions

Apply basic nursing care, protected mobilization, and explicit communication while supporting patients and residents at Riverview Health Centre.
