Support patient registration and scheduling at IWK Health’s Perinatal Centre in Halifax, using accurate data entry and respectful communication.

This temporary full time clerk assignment supports Women’s & Newborn Health from registration through appointment booking. You will work Monday to Friday across various daytime and evening hours, managing patient information, schedules, records, and communications. Family-Centred Care guides interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
Register patients and process Perinatal Centre bookings
Schedule appointments and print daily schedules
Verify patient information and retrieve health records
Communicate by telephone and fax information accurately




Complete billing sheets, filing, and mail handling

Requirements:
High school diploma or General Educational Development certificate
Accurate keyboarding and data entry skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer technology
Robust organization, prioritization, and time management skills
Confidential judgment and effective interpersonal communication
