Job Title: Security Guard

Site Overview

Located in Squamish, BC, this client site offers an active environment where safety, professionalism, and service come together. Supporting a varied local property with indoor and outdoor spaces, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure atmosphere for staff, visitors, and property assets.

What You'll Be Doing

- Manage access control for authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
- Conduct regular foot patrols across indoor and outdoor areas of the property.
- Monitor CCTV systems and site security equipment.
- Identify potential security risks to protect client assets and property.
- Enforce site policies and procedures while delivering helpful customer service.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies, taking appropriate action and conducting initial investigations.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, team members, and emergency services.
- Complete accurate daily activity logs and detailed occurrence reports.
- Assist with traffic control and other site security tasks as required.

Must Haves

- Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
- Solid communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand and patrol for the majority of an 8-12 hour shift.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, navigating stairs, uneven terrain, and large properties.
- Ability to stay calm, professional, and composed during high-pressure situations or emergencies.
- Basic computer skills, including smartphone applications, daily report writing, and two-way radio operation.
- Proven teamwork skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Ability to work locally in Squamish (this is not a fly-in,



fly-out role).
