Lead complex public procurement for Surrey Schools through competitive bidding, contract management, and stakeholder collaboration in a high-volume purchasing setting.

As a Senior Buyer, you will procure high-value goods, services, materials, and equipment for the School District. You will manage competitive bids, interpret procurement requirements, and guide purchasing staff. The work requires independent judgment within defined parameters.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage competitive bid projects from specifications through contract award
Develop RFP, RFQ, and RFSQ documents and evaluation criteria
Coordinate bid evaluation teams and prepare award analyses
Manage contracts, supplier commitments, corrective actions, and conflicts




Guide Buyers and monitor purchasing efficiency, savings, and workloads

Requirements:
Six years of recent purchasing experience in a public organization
Supply Chain Management Qualified designation
Membership in valuable standing with Supply Chain Management Association of Canada
Knowledge of Canadian procurement law, treaties, and competitive bidding
Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex business environments
