Support rehabilitation through offender management, risk assessment and sentence progression as a Prison Offender Manager managing a designated prisoner caseload.

Working with male or female prisoners, you will follow the HMPPS Offender Management in Custody Model. The role involves sentence planning, resettlement support and collaboration with probation services and other partners. Structured training lasts six to nine months.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial interviews and assess prisoner risks and needs
Complete OASys assessments, sentence plans and intervention referrals
Manage sentence progression and monitor risks throughout custody
Support pre-release planning and community probation handovers




Set goals encouraging positive behavioural change and reduced reoffending

Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid interpersonal skills and confidence inspiring prisoners
Ability to organise and prioritise demanding workloads
Valuable Microsoft Word and Excel skills
Enhanced DBS and HMPPS security vetting required

Use communication, organisation and risk management skills to support rehabilitation, public protection and successful prisoner resettlement.
