Prepare client samples for laboratory analysis as a Sample Preparation Technician 2 at ALS, using careful handling and established procedures.

Working in the Sample Preparation Department, you will ring, sieve, crush, split, and composite samples under supervision. The position requires accurate production logs, equipment inspection, and adherence to analytical quality standards. You will also support laboratory cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
Ring, sieve, crush, and split samples under direct supervision
Load and unload drying ovens under supervision
Maintain personal production logs accurately
Handle compositing, screen metallics, and special requests
Inspect equipment and report required adjustments to senior employees

Requirements:
Minimum three months minerals laboratory experience required
Valuable hand-eye coordination and organizational skills
Ability to work independently or within a team
Basic alphanumeric comprehension and English communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
