Build data centre operations experience at Sun Life in Waterloo, using IT hardware knowledge and hands-on equipment support. This is primarily in person.

The Data Centre Intern supports IT hardware life-cycle management at Sun Life. You will assist with installations, equipment disposition, vendor coordination, documentation, and security protocols. The role also includes DCIM validation and UPS tool onboarding.

Key Responsibilities:
Participate in IT hardware life-cycle management processes
Assist with physical equipment installation in data centre cabinets
Organize hardware for installation or disposition
Coordinate vendor pickups and onsite resource escorts
Track tasks against timelines and maintain documentation

Requirements:
Eligibility for the Indigenous Student Employment Program
High school diploma or grade twelve equivalent
Knowledge of IT hardware terms and platforms
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
