Construction accounting specialists can manage project costs, billing, and budgets with Axiom Builders across major development markets.

As a Construction Accountant on an 18-month contract, you will support project teams and cross-functional teams through accurate accounting practices. The work includes job costing, subcontractor invoices, change orders, holdbacks, and project financial reporting. You will help maintain financial organization and support project performance while working independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor project costs and coding against approved budgets
Review subcontractor invoices, change orders, and holdbacks
Prepare monthly progress billing invoices




Post cash receipts and follow up on past-due accounts
Assist with close processes, reconciliations, forecasting, and reports

Requirements:
Two to three years of project accounting experience
Job costing experience, preferably in construction
Accounting, Finance, or related degree or diploma
Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency
Acumatica, Sage, Timberline, or other ERP experience
