Design air-core reactors in Scarborough with electromagnetic expertise and hands-on manufacturing support at Trench Canada. This is a full time position.

As a mid-level Engineering Designer, you will develop economical, manufacturable reactor designs for customer specifications and applicable standards. Your work spans electromagnetic, electrical, thermal, insulation, and basic structural design. You will coordinate complex analysis with Mechanical Engineering and support Sales, Operations, Production, and Quality across the product life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Calculate inductance, impedance, losses, fields, and current distribution
- Validate insulation systems and conduct insulation coordination
- Develop drawings, models, and bills of material




- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues directly on the production floor
- Coordinate customer routine, type, special, and factory acceptance tests

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- At least three years of design engineering experience
- Experience designing air core reactors or comparable products
- Expertise in electromagnetic, thermal, insulation, and structural design
- Proficiency with CAD software and MS Office Suite
