Support daily thrift store operations through customer service and inventory handling as a full time Shift Supervisor for The Salvation Army. Lead store activities while maintaining organized, welcoming service.
The Shift Supervisor operationally supports the Store Manager with routine tasks across the thrift store. The position also performs Sales Associate duties, including transactions, donations, merchandising, and store maintenance. In the Store Manager’s absence, this role acts as Team Lead or Working Supervisor for Store Associates.
Key Responsibilities:
Interact positively with customers and donors
Complete accurate cash and debit transactions
Process, sort, price, and store donations
Open and close the store when required
Monitor security and maintain store organization
Requirements:
Completion of some high school
Two years’ store or warehouse experience
Interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a team setting
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds
Bring customer service, inventory handling, and working-supervisor capabilities to The Salvation Army’s thrift store operations.
