Perform advanced echocardiography in Halifax using specialized ultrasound technology, PACS, and Doppler hemodynamic data. This full time assignment supports adult congenital and surgical programs.

Nova Scotia Health seeks a Cardiac Sonographer for Echo Cardiology at the Halifax Infirmary. The position obtains diagnostic cardiac recordings, evaluates pathological findings, and prepares summaries for Echocardiologist review. Staff provide patient care across five Nova Scotia Health Authority sites, including portable examinations and after-hours call coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
Obtain cardiac ultrasound images and Doppler hemodynamic data
Evaluate findings, measurements, calculations, and diagnostic recordings
Discuss examinations with Echocardiologists using PACS information
Assist transesophageal,



stress echo, and contrast studies
Maintain patient files and timely computer documentation

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program
Hold NSCMIRTP licensure and current BLS certification
Minimum one year clinical experience preferred
Adult congenital, TEE, stress echo, or research experience preferred
Philips Epiq, IntelliSpace, or GE Vivid E95 experience an asset
