Protect swimmers with aquatic supervision and emergency response as a Casual Lifeguard at John W. Lindsay YMCA. Work casual shifts scheduled with 48 hours’ notice.

The YMCA seeks a Casual Lifeguard for its Aquatics team. You will help maintain a secure, inclusive pool environment for participants of all ages. The position requires lifeguarding experience, National Lifeguard certification, and robust safety awareness. YMCA swim instruction experience is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise participants and maintain secure aquatic areas
Recognize hazards and prevent potentially dangerous situations
Provide water rescue, first aid, and follow-up
Complete safety documentation and required reporting
Inspect public areas and address maintenance concerns

Requirements:
One to three years of lifeguarding experience
Current National Lifeguard Certificate
Standard First Aid and CPR certification
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
Clear child safeguarding and criminal record checks
