Lead insurance defense litigation for TD Insurance in Halifax, applying legal strategy and courtroom advocacy within a hybrid work model.

As Counsel II, you will handle assigned civil litigation involving personal injury and property damage claims. Reporting to a Practice Leader in Recent Brunswick, you will represent TD Insurance or policyholders across matters of varying value and legal complexity. Your work will include research, drafting, questioning, applications, trials, and mediations.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and revise legal strategies for assigned cases
Communicate with analysts and insured clients
Conduct questionings, applications, trials, and mediations
Research applicable law for cases and matters
Draft pleadings, applications, and legal factums

Requirements:
LLB or JD from completed law school
Admission to the Nova Scotia bar
Five-plus years of lawyer experience
Insurance defense, personal injury, or general litigation background
Solid communication, organization, and legal document editing skills
