Shape computer vision for Planitar’s iGUIDE technology in hybrid Waterloo, Ontario, combining photogrammetry, SLAM, and 3D reconstruction.
This Algorithm Developer will create capabilities for the Planix capture system, transforming raw sensor data into reliable spatial outputs. The work covers photospheres, point clouds, meshes, sensor alignment, and processing optimization. You will collaborate with system engineering, embedded firmware, visualization design, and draft operation teams from concept through iteration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy computer vision reconstruction algorithms
- Align RGB cameras, depth sensors, GPS, and IMU inputs
- Process raw data through photon-to-mesh pipelines
- Convert prototypes into robust core APIs
- Refine accuracy,
reliability, and processing efficiency
Requirements:
- Three-plus years in algorithm development, testing, and deployment
- Computer science, mathematics, physics, or engineering degree
- Knowledge of spatial transformations and numerical optimization
- Experience with photogrammetry, SLAM, filtering, alignment, and meshing
- Advanced C++ and Python with OpenCV, Open3D, or PyTorch
Bring computer vision, photogrammetry, and sensor-processing expertise to improve Planitar’s accurate spatial data products.
