Support stroke patients at Southlake Health in Newmarket as a part time Registered Practical Nurse using clinical communication and patient-focused care.

This permanent RPN position serves the Integrated Stroke Unit within a team-oriented healthcare team. You will apply College of Nurses of Ontario standards, support patients and families, and contribute to care planning, assessment, documentation, and ongoing learning. Experience with acute general medicine, IV therapy, and CVADs is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide patient and family-focused care within RPN scope
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Assess and document each patient’s ongoing health status




- Assist with care plans and evaluate their effectiveness
- Support orientation and preceptorship for staff and students

Requirements:

- RPN diploma from a recognized nursing school
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Good-standing registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Knowledge of geriatric populations, skin assessment, and wound care
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and teamwork skills
