Deliver resident-focused nursing care as a casual Registered Practical Nurse at Extendicare Medex on Baseline Road in Ottawa, Ontario. Apply clinical judgment and medication administration skills.

Reporting to the Director of Care or Director of Health and Wellness, you will provide planned, goal-directed care under provincial standards. The position involves assessments, care plans, documentation, resident education, and coordination with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams. You will also support transfers, conferences, emergencies, and nursing assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide direct resident care and administer medications and treatments
- Complete assessments, care plans, and accurate clinical documentation
- Evaluate care effectiveness and communicate required changes




- Coordinate resident care assignments for timely service delivery
- Respond to significant condition changes and medical emergencies

Requirements:

- Current Registered Practical Nurse registration in the applicable province
- Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening completed within six months
