Coordinate Introduction to Data Structures at Brock University using computer science expertise, laboratory supervision, and organized leadership on campus as needed.
Reporting to the Department Chair or Course Instructor, this Course Coordinator oversees seminar, tutorial, or laboratory sections. The position coordinates Teaching Assistants, Lab Demonstrators, and Marker-Graders while supporting course assessment activities. Broad computer science experience and laboratory leadership are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee seminar, tutorial, and laboratory sections
- Coordinate Teaching Assistants, Lab Demonstrators, and Marker-Graders
- Hold meetings with assigned instructional staff
- Assist with marking scheme preparation
- Coordinate assignment and examination marking
Requirements:
- Computer Science degree
- Broad experience in Computer Sciences
- Previous laboratory demonstration experience
- Experience supervising other demonstrators
- Leadership and organizational skills
