The NBA is responsible for understanding the policies and procedures set forth by the Rocky Mountain Co-op and must be able to communicate them to the residents when necessary. This position will make recommendations to the Housing Manager/Assistant Housing Manager for policy changes and breach of policy recommendations. The Property Manager will oversee any/all disciplinary actions.
The NBA will monitor all persons entering the building to ensure that no visitors access the property after 11:00pm unless they have an overnight guest pass. The NBA can issue overnight guest passes for a maximum of three nights. Any extension to this must be approved by the Housing Manager/Assistant Housing Manager.
On an hourly basis during their shift, the NBA will perform a walk through of the building to ensure there are no disruptions, excessive noise and no maintenance concerns to report to the Housing Manager/Assistant Housing Manager.
The NBA will be required to record all duties performed, during their shift, in a night log book.
All information in the log book must be accurate and kept confidential between RMC Management and NBA.
The NBA may need to provide solutions when certain situations arise. They should be able to react/respond to the issue and/or contact the appropriate authorities if necessary and advise the Housing Manager/Assistant Housing Manager immediately.
Custodial duties will be required by the NBA during their shift. Cleaning duties include but are not limited to; vacuuming hallways, cleaning laundry rooms, mopping stairwells, and maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby.
During the winter months, some light shoveling and/or placing of gravel or ice melt by the front entrance and sidewalks may be required during their shift.
The Night Building Assistant will maintain a positive working relationship with the residents, always communicating with them in a professional manner.
This position may be required to perform minor maintenance duties where necessary and any other duties as assigned by the Housing Manager/Assistant Housing Manager.
