Lead artistic programming for Rapid Fire Theatre in Edmonton through improvised theatre expertise, performer development, and team-oriented communication.
The Artistic Director is a contracted employee responsible for achieving Rapid Fire Theatre’s vision. This role manages artistic, human, and financial resources across shows, workshops, and professional development. The director also works with the General Manager on planning and community-building.
Key Responsibilities: Lead communication and collaboration with ensemble members and staff
Direct shows, workshops, and professional development programming
Audition and cast performers while maintaining the ensemble
Keep programs within budget and complete them on time




Represent Rapid Fire positively to community, media, government, and public
Requirements: Passion for improvised theatre
Demonstrated experience in improvised theatre
Ability to write artistic statements and grant cover letters
Experience supporting fundraising, budgeting, and board development
Availability for irregular hours varying month to month
Bring improvised theatre experience, artistic leadership, and resource management to Rapid Fire Theatre’s Edmonton programming and ensemble.
