This Medical Laboratory Technician position supports patient care and LifeLabs business operations. You will perform manual and automated chemistry testing under medical laboratory technologist supervision. The work includes specimen handling, data entry, quality assurance, and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities: Perform manual and automated testing under direct supervision
Handle, prioritize, and triage specimens and results
Prepare reagents and controls using defined procedures
Identify incidents and escalate non-conformances appropriately
Maintain instruments, supplies, and a secure laboratory environment
Requirements: High School diploma
WHMIS training
Previous chemistry laboratory experience preferred
Analyzer experience required, preferably Abbott Alinity
Ability to handle biohazardous materials and chemicals
Bring chemistry laboratory experience, analyzer knowledge, and accurate testing practices to LifeLabs patient care in Mississauga.
