Support client-specific medication preparation at Carewest’s Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre in Calgary through pharmacy equipment and order processing.
This casual Pharmacy Assistant support position reports to the Program Director, Pharmacy Services. You will perform routine medication preparation duties, process orders, and support pharmacy service administration. The work emphasizes customer service, inventory control, and quality care and safety for residents and clients.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare client-specific medications using pharmacy equipment efficiently
Process pharmacy orders accurately and efficiently
Support administration of pharmacy services
Maintain inventory control for pharmacy services
Perform other related duties as required
Requirements: Pharmacy Assistant certificate or diploma preferred
Basic computer skills with MS Office and FileMaker
Long term or acute care hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Community pharmacy experience may be considered
Commitment to customer service in healthcare environments
