This Personal Support Worker assists clients with physical, cognitive, emotional, environmental, spiritual, and behavioral requirements. Under nurse supervisor direction, responsibilities include routine activities, health observations, accurate charting, emergency response, and implementing care plans. The position includes flexible hours.
Key Responsibilities: Implement care plans with the Geka Wigwam Nurse Supervisor
Observe residents and document changes in condition
Use First Aid and CPR during medical emergencies
Assist with physician and nurse practitioner rounds
Support family members and promote client self-care
Requirements: Personal Support Worker certification and Grade 12 education
Self-directed approach within a multidisciplinary team
Ability to work flexible schedule and overtime
Proficiency with Excel, computer software, and office equipment
Clear driver’s abstract and Vulnerable Sector Check
