Coordinate Community Health Workers for Vancouver Coastal Health while applying scheduling expertise and proficient computer skills. This position includes on-call duties outside regular work hours.
Reporting to the Home Support Services Manager or Coordinator, the Scheduler organizes assignments according to policies, client care plans, and collective agreements. The position supports Community Health Workers, also called Home Support Workers, within home support services. It requires communication, organization, prioritization, and pressure management.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate Community Health Worker assignments
Schedule Home Support Workers according to client care plans
Apply established policies and procedures
Follow applicable collective agreements when scheduling
Perform outside-of-work on-call duties
Requirements: Grade 12 education
Coursework in health care and computer training
Scheduling experience or equivalent education, training, and experience
Proficient computer skills
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Bring organized scheduling, transparent communication, and computer proficiency to Vancouver Coastal Health’s Community Health Worker services.
