This permanent, 60% Licensed Practical Nurse position serves medical-surgical nursing units in Charlottetown. You will provide quality nursing care under a Registered Nurse or qualified medical practitioner’s direction. The assignment may cover a full shift or part of one, requiring flexibility and broad adult medical-surgical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities: Provide basic nursing care supporting patient comfort and well-being
Perform treatment procedures within your scope of practice
Participate in nursing care plan development and implementation
Apply infection control techniques during patient care




Provide staff replacement across medical-surgical nursing units
Requirements: Complete a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing Assistant Program
Hold active or eligible Prince Edward Island registration
Complete Pharmacology, Medication Administration, and Health Assessment
Maintain current CPR/BCLS, TLR, and WHMIS certifications
Demonstrate knowledge of chronic illnesses and client needs
Bring professional nursing care, flexibility, and medical-surgical knowledge to Health PEI’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital replacement team.
