Support resident comfort and well-being at AgeCare Bow Crest in Calgary as a Health Care Aide focused on personal care and mobility. Apply safe techniques under Staff Nurse supervision.
As a member of the care team, you will address individual resident needs through basic care and services. Your work includes bathing, transfers, meals, treatments, and movement throughout the facility. Care plans guide diets, while lifts, transfer belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and positioning chairs support secure assistance.
Key Responsibilities: Promote personal comfort through bathing and washing residents
Assist residents between beds, wheelchairs, commodes, and toilets
Support feeding during meals and nourishment times
Help residents reach dining, beauty, physiotherapy, and recreation areas
Accompany residents to internal social and therapy functions
Requirements: Completed recognized Personal Care Aide or Health Care Aide certificate
Active registration with CLHA
Fluent written and spoken English
Continuing care or related experience preferred
Post-secondary education is an asset
