Job DescriptionJob DescriptionStandridge Inc. is a certified Federal Small Business Enterprise (FSBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), and Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) company specialized in providing high-quality professional civil engineering, land surveying, land use planning, and construction support services to our clients in Oregon and Washington.We are looking for a Party Crew Chief to join our teams based out of Oregon City, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington. A successful individual in this role is a strong communicator and will lead and supervise a field survey crew to perform on-the-ground data collection and staking. They will also be responsible for the maintenance and operation of survey equipment, field notes, data collection, and working with office staff, clients, and contractors on projects. This is a field-focused role requiring regular travel to project sites throughout Oregon and Southern Washington. This position will be directly managed by a Professional Licensed Surveyor with supervision from a Principal Surveyor.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise a field survey crew on a day-to-day basisReview project requirements, maps, plans, and survey instructions to prepare for field assignments; confirm completeness ofsurvey data before leaving to the project siteOperate and maintain survey equipment, including Trimble total stations, Trimble GPS equipment, data collectors, and related technologyPlan, coordinate, and execute daily fieldwork for boundary, topographic, and construction staking projects. Includes coordination of daily crew needs, site access, equipment, staffing, schedules, and field conditionsCoordinate proactively with project managers and office staff regarding project scope and progress; promote safe field practicesIdentify and resolve routine technical or delivery issues and escalating conditions that may affect accuracy, safety, scope, schedule,



or project requirementsEnsure accuracy, completeness, and quality of field data collectionWhat you bring to the Team:Proven progressive land surveying experience, including experience independently leading survey fieldwork or serving in a comparable lead role; experience with boundary, topographic, construction staking, control, and as-built surveysStrong working knowledge of land surveying principles and field proceduresProficiency with contemporary survey equipment and data collection softwareSound field judgement and the ability to organize daily assignments, adapt to changing conditions, and resolve routine technical issues independentlyClear communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with crew members, office staff, contractors, clients, and the publicAbility and willingness to work outdoors in varying terrain, weather, and site conditionsAbility to travel to project sites throughout the region, including occasional overnight travel as project needs requireA valid driver's license and acceptable driving recordQualificationsExperience supporting public infrastructure, transportation, utility, or land development projects in Oregon and Washington.Familiarity with coordinate geometry and basic field calculationsExperience mentoring or training junior crew membersWhy join Standridge Inc?Standridge Inc. is a FSBE, DBE, and WBE certified firm.
