Operate street sweepers and road maintenance equipment for the Region of Waterloo at its Heidelberg Office/Garage. This temporary full-time role follows a Monday-to-Friday schedule.

As a Roads Maintainer, you will maintain Regional roads and roadsides through sweeping, summer maintenance, and winter snow and ice control. The work includes operating trucks, loaders, sweepers, plows, and related attachments. You will complete equipment checks, reports, traffic control, and required cleaning duties while supporting secure road conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate street sweepers across Regional roads, roadsides, and intersections
- Perform winter plowing, salting, sanding, and snow removal
- Complete equipment checks, minor repairs, cleaning, and refuelling
- Remove debris, mud, gravel,



and spill materials from roadways
- Complete traffic control, maintenance reports, and daily operating logs

Requirements:

- Grade 12 education or equivalent, with stated equivalency available
- Two years of directly related equipment operation experience
- Valid Class D licence with Z Air Brake endorsement
- Acceptable driving record and ability to work variable hours
- Ability to read Traffic Control Plans and complete forms
