The School of Creative and Performing Arts seeks a Visiting Guest Artist in Contemporary Dance. This artist will teach all levels to dance majors, minors, and non-majors. Responsibilities include choreography instruction, repertory or new work creation, and student mentoring.
Key Responsibilities: Teach contemporary technique to majors, minors, and non-majors
Teach choreography to second-year dance majors
Create recent work or set repertory
Mentor and advise dance students
Contribute contemporary dance perspectives to student learning
Requirements: MFA in Dance or equivalent professional experience
National or international reputation as a dance artist
University or professional contemporary dance teaching experience
Experience with release training, contact improvisation, and choreography
Experience in performance creation; release or Limón knowledge asset
Bring contemporary technique, choreography, and performance creation expertise to dance students at the University of Calgary.
